Focal Point Global  (FPG) will host its 2015 Awards & Benefit Dinner on December 3, 2015 from 6pm to 10pm EST at  Alger House in New York City.  This event will be a private dinner for FPG’s biggest supporters as the organization celebrates its 5th Anniversary and raises funds for its global education initiatives.

The evening will be hosted by CEO of OkayAfrica, Abiola Oke and will gather leaders, changemakers, and professionals to honor and contribute to global achievements in education and youth empowerment. Guests will enjoy a three-course meal by Chef Eric Adjepong that will take them on a culinary journey to the regions where Focal Point Global works.

The 2015 Awards & Benefit Dinner will recognize the late Dr. Beverly Hall with the Education Award for her 40-year career as an education administrator who became superintendent of three major US school districts (Queens, Newark, and Atlanta). Additionally, The Ubuntu Education Fund will receive the Trailblazer Award for providing world-class health and educational support to the orphaned and vulnerable children of Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

“We are delighted to welcome dedicated supporters to our first New York City fundraiser on December 3rd. With their generous support, we have come a long way since 2010 and being able to give life-changing experiences to over 150 youth in 4 countries.  At this year’s dinner, we celebrate 5 years of service, groundbreaking honorees, and launch our biggest initiative yet:  The Youth Employment & Entrepreneurship Initiative” say Founders of FPG, Hassanatu and Hussainatu Blake.

FPG is focused on fostering global partnerships between US and African youth using education and technology.  The funds raised at The 2015 Awards & Benefit Dinner will support the organization with providing youth (ages 12-19) with the global exposure necessary to examine and tackle global issues in 21st century as the next generation of leaders.
