Gifty Bingley Appointed as Tigo’s Head of Corporate Communications

Gifty Bingley is the new Head of Corporate Communications for Tigo Ghana. She will be tasked with carrying out Tigo’s corporate communication functions both internally and externally.

Bingley is a seasoned journalist, trained at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), holds double Masters Degree in Political Communication from the University of Leeds and Development Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). She is also an alumna and a member of the Charted Institute of Public Relations, (CIPR) UK.

Prior to joining Tigo, Bingley worked for Vodafone Ghana, where she led a team tasked with internal and external communications and PR Agency. She has also worked for Ghana’s TV3 (the leading television network in Ghana) for about a decade, where she rose up in ranks starting off as a Broadcast Journalist to the Head of News and Deputy Editor-Assignments charged with developing and managing various news bulletin contents.

Before her entry into the telecommunication industry; she worked for the British High Commission in Accra, where she managed public diplomacy dealing with various policy issues including development of bilateral projects aimed at strengthening state’s institutions and improving Ghanaians living standards.
