Google Has Added More 13 New Languages For Users On Gmail
Google made the announcement that it has added 13 new languages for users on the Gmail platform. The new languages are Afrikaans, Zulu, Nepali, Lao, Chinese, Georgian, French, Galician, Azerbaijani, Sinhala, Mongolian, Khmer and Armenian.
These new 13 languages bring the total languages supported by Gmail to 71, up from the previous 58 languages. Google Localisation Senior Project Manager, Ian Hill posted on Google’s blog saying that already Gmail can be accessed in 58 different languages, and they have now brought the total languages to 71.
Hill said that the new development brings Google closer to its goal of ensuring that, “no matter what language one writes in, one can use it in Gmail.” He also said that Google has been working closely with linguists experts of the different languages to ensure the new languages being deployed on the Gmail platform be “just right” in terms of style and tone.
In order to access these latest languages on your Gmail, click on ‘Gmail Settings’ when you are in your mailbox and choose the ‘Languages’ option located beneath the ‘General’ tab.
