Google and iHub hosting Launchpad Start in Nairobi; 1-week Program to teach Startup to Scale

Internet search engine giant Google has collaborated with the Nairobi-based accelerator and incubator, iHub, to host the first Google Launchpad Start in Nairobi.

The Google Launchpad Start is a one-week pre-incubation program for early stage startups aimed at helping them improve on their knowledge, skills, and attitude. In a manner that will see the selected early stage startups scale up their operations in as far as product strategy, UX and UI technology development, marketing strategies, business development and presentation skills are concerned.

The Launchpad Start is meant to benefit the participating startups with actionable, in-person mentoring. That will help them overcome barriers on their way to breaking into the markets and running a profitable venture.

The program is running from Nov 28 through to Dec 2 2016, at the iHub premises. The objective being the startups taking home the four key points about product profitable scaling:

Improved Product Strategy

Optimized Minimum Viable Product

A Technical Excellence Plan

A Viable Digital Marketing strategy

The 12 participating early-stage startups are Lakt, Magazine Reel, ManyattaRent, Paid, REQUESTTM, Sentil, SmartSoftExperts, Taimba, and Yoza.
