Google Demo Day: Women’s Edition early-stage startups competition now receiving applications

Google Demo Day: Women’s Edition like the names suggest, it is sponsored by the search engine giant Google and will be a day for female techies to showcase their tech solutions. It will be a startups competition showcasing the best early-stage innovations and inventions founded or co-founded by female techies.

As techies, this event will give you plenty of growth opportunities, whether or not you come out as the overall winner. First, you will get the limelight of the press; which will go a long way in creating awareness in the public about your new product. Not forgetting, you stand a chance to win financial backing, mentorship, and incubation from Google and its partner networks that span across the world.

The opportunity to get feedback from Googlers and Silicon Valley veterans will go a long way towards polishing your product. This will be an exclusive opportunity to reach these network of techies and VCs.

Google has announced it is now receiving applications to the Demo Day: Women’s Edition. To apply, click here. The event will start on October 31 through to November 3rd, 2016. The selected female techies will be invited to pitch before VCs and distinguished judges at the Google’s HQ in Mountain View, California.

African female techies with products in B2B or B2C space raising Series A funding of between $1 million to $5 million are encouraged to apply on or before October 6th, 2016. [Click here to apply].
