Google’s PWA is having a Fireside Chat with Developers in Nigeria at the iDEA Hub today

Google program to drum up supports for the next web and mobile frontier Progressive Web Apps (PWA) will be having a fireside chat with developers in Nigeria today. The venue of the fireside chat will be at iDEA Nigeria; an accelerator for startup techies based in Lagos.

PWA as we mentioned earlier during their event in Nairobi, Kenya, combines the best of native app experience and mobile web, giving you a better experience. What it does is pull web content from the hybrid app and loads it onto your mobile browser; all the while, still giving you an app-like experience.

In addition to that PWA has the edge over mobile apps and web experience in that it loads faster; even when you are on a spotty network. It also gives site owners the ability to re-engage with visitors through push notifications. Users can also place site icons on their home screen giving you that app-like experience. Last but not least, PWA loads to your mobile devices as a top-level, full-screen experience.

How do you attend the PWA fireside chat?

Developers in Nigeria are invited to participate in the fireside chat that will take place at the iDEA Hub in Yaba from 4 PM to 6 PM (WAT). You need to register here first, to attend.
