So the Cat Woman, Halle Berry has finally joined the micro-blogging site Twitter and the photo-sharing platform Instagram. These social networks have been around for what now seems like ages, but no Halle Berry just discovered them on March 29; when she officially came on board.
Within her first 24 hours on social media, Berry has got garnered many followers at a pace that would make those self-acclaimed branding experts very jealous. However, in all fairness her first picture was topless one, plus she is a celebrity; put those two factors into consideration how can branding experts compete with that?
For her topless picture on Instagram, Berry wrote this caption; “Today is a very exciting day for me. I’m looking forward to sharing our world through images that reflect my emotions and perceptions.”
Berry’s topless picture is reminiscent of the Naked and Afraid Reality TV show played out in the woods. She also wrote, “I am in awe of photography and its ability to capture and reflect this extraordinary world that we live in. I’m excited to share with you my love of nature, the arts, fashion and much more in the hopes that the images will inspire, promote conversation and bring you joy.”
On Twitter, (@halleberry), she used a picture of her face but hidden under her hair and a big floppy hat. In less than 30 hours since she opened her Twitter account, Berry has so far gained 41.6K followers.
All factors considered Halle Berry, though a newbie on Twitter and Instagram, she seems to have mastered it all fast. Well, either that or she has got an image consultant on her payroll who advises her on what works, and what doesn’t. In 24 hours she has garnered more followers, elicited engagement with about two tweets so far on Twitter and just one post on Instagram. She also got people talking on other platforms outside the social networks.
