Harry Potter: Wizards Unite review

The latest augmented reality game from the makers of Pokemon Go, for the lovers of Harry Potter, is released on Android and iOS devices on June 21, 2019. This game, named: “Harry Potter: Wizards Unite” involves walking around and staring at your phone and really increasing your thumb strength. It invites users to join the Statute of Secrecy Task Force, whose job is to safeguard the wizarding world from discovery by Muggles.

Players gather enchanted artifacts and fight fantastic beasts by the help of Harry Potter, which appear in the real world like Pokemon does in Pokemon Go. In this game, you can make magic potions, uncover Port keys, and play around like a real wizard.

Currently, you can get a beta version of the game from the App Store and through Google Play.

Interface of Wizards Unite

The layout of this game is almost immediately recognizable for Pokemon Go players, with a little avatar depicting you standing in an animated overlay of real-life locations.

Notable locations involve inns that function as Poke stops, where you charge up on “spell power”, fortresses, and greenhouses where you can cultivate some ingredients.  There are sections where specific kinds of traces can be found. Traces are moving places in this game.

The game is much impressive and cool-looking since there are owls and magical papers, airplanes flying around. The music in this game is suitably wizardry. You feel full of possibility by the sight of tall fortresses surrounded by a penumbra of swirling magical energy looming in the distance.

Fan-Fiction

This game has a lot of Harry Potter in it. You can do a lot of fun stuff such as choosing your own house and creating a customized wand. From several Harry Potter franchises, all spells, potion ingredients and random critters are pulled.

There is also a story behind the game that is very interesting. Progressing through the world, you get clues as to how weird magical calamity happened. It is all focused on a missing wizard named Grim Fawley.

Weird part, along with the big stew-pot of cool wizardry things for Harry Potter fans, is that Harry Potter texts the players and players have to free Snape from a bottle although he is dead in the story.

Bugs in game

The game is currently available in beta version so there are quite a few moments where things just don’t go as they should. Making potions don’t work half the time and sometimes foundables just disappear when clicked on. It gets difficult to enter into fortresses and times out with every attempt. Fortresses seem to be a huge part of the game.

Should one play Harry Potter: Wizards Unite?

People are having a lot of fun while playing this game. Less buggy features of this game could unlock a lot of enthusiasm in players. Mystery underpinning the whole thing is the great addiction for the players. Therefore, it is suggested to Harry Potter fans who love walking and own phones, to play this game.
