The charging design of Apple Watch is quite special; it merges MagSafe technology with induction charging. Its built-in battery is 205mAh. Well, there is no fixed time you need to charge it. You may charge it overnight. Its battery will never be overcharged and will not undergo any damage from regular charging. Charging will stop automatically when the Apple Watch is fully charged. The battery life varies depending on each user’s usage, configuration, cellular coverage, and various other factors. Also, the charge time of an Apple Watch is 90 minutes from zero to 80% and almost 2.5 hours from zero to 100% if you are using the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable which is included when you buy the Apple Watch. Apple says that the charging time can vary depending on the environmental factors too.

Moreover, it is not necessary for you to fully charge it before starting to use it for the very first time.
