Facebook now supports 3D Photos posting, but only from iOS devices. The social network has a new 3D Photos feature that captures the distance between the subject’s foreground and background in the picture. And gives it a lifelike sense with depth and movement.

With 3D Photos, viewers can scroll, pan, and tilt in 3D. On Facebook, viewers will be your connected friends, viewing the 3D Photos on your timeline or in their News Feed and VR mode. Users can view 3D Photos on Facebook by using VR gears like the Oculus Go, Firefox on Oculus Rift, or the Oculus Browser.

Launch the Camera app on your iPhone and switch to Portrait mode. Take the shot, or shots and then select the picture you would like to share. Now launch the Facebook app, and go to create a new post.

On the field for creating a new post, click the three dots at the top right corner, and choose ‘3D Photos’ option that should open the Portraits folder on your iPhone. Now, select the image that you would want to share on Facebook as 3D Photo.

You can then proceed and put the captions and other details of your choosing. Next, tap on the Facebook Share button to post the image.
