How to Fix Critical Process Died in Windows 10, Window 8 [Guide]

1- First, you need to scan the system. You can run sfc /scannow command in the command prompt.

In order to reboot your system in safe mode, try booting several times until you see three options. Click on Troubleshoot to see advanced options. Now, Select Advanced options. Select Startup Settings. Click on the Restart button and then Select Enable Safe Mode.

After logging in, you’ll be able to start your computer in Clean Boot.

Launch start menu and type “msconfig.” Now hit enter to open the system configuration app. Now go to the Services tab and check the Hide all Microsoft services option. Now head over to the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager. Disable all services you see and restart your computer.

4- Running DISM also helps in healing and fixing the system files. DISM is a set of commands which could be run in command prompt.

Use Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image commands, and replace the following switches

/ScanHealth

/CheckHealth

/RestoreHealth

5-If nothing works to fix Critical Process Died Windows 10, Windows 8, the only option is to reinstall the operating system. Make sure to backup your data before the re-installation of Windows.
