How to Remove the Corner Swipe Popup Menu from Samsung S8

Samsung S8 users are facing the issue of corner swipe popup menu popping up on their phone which is very annoying. It is known as the ES Swipe screen. The semi-circle spinning menu mostly shows the shortcut to recent Apps. Here is how you can remove the corner swipe popup menu from Samsung S8.

Disable ES Swipe Screen

To disable the ES Swipe screen, open the ES Swipe screen by swiping from the bottom corner. Different number of Apps would be displayed, switch through the Apps until you see ‘ES settings’ App. Then, click on it to open it. Under the settings, toggle it off. This would remove the corner swipe popup menu from Samsung S8.

ES File Explorer

A common reason for the appearance of this corner swipe popup menu in Samsung Galaxy S8 is the ES File Explorer App. There is a built-in feature in this App which enables this spinning menu. To disable it, go to the App’s Settings and scroll down to the bottom. At the bottom of the menu, you will find ‘Gesture’ option. Turn it off. By turning it off, you would not be able to see that annoying menu again.

Assistant Menu

Another solution you can try to remove the corner swipe popup menu from Samsung S8 is to toggle off the assistant menu. To turn off the assistant menu, go to your phone’s Settings and then go to accessibility. Under the accessibility tab, go to dexterity and interaction and turn off the assistant menu.

Safe Mode

Try to reboot your phone in safe mode to make sure if any third-party App is causing the problem. If the problem doesn’t persist in safe mode, it’s a good sign that an App you have installed is the cause of your issue. Finding the culprit App is a bit difficult, but try deleting the Apps one by one to check which one is causing the problem.

Restart Phone

Another solution you can try to remove the corner swipe popup menu is to restart your Samsung Galaxy S8. Turn off your phone and then turn it on again. After turning it on, don’t use it for 20 seconds.

Factory Reset

To factory reset your Samsung Galaxy S8, go to your phone’s Settings and then go to the Backup and Reset. Now, uncheck automatic restore and factory reset your phone. Before you factory reset your phone, make sure you have backed up your data to prevent any loss. This would remove the corner swipe popup menu.
