Steps for Signing out of Google Account

To sign out of Google account, go to Settings > Accounts > Google and at the very bottom of the screen, you will see two options; Sync now and Remove account. This illustration is per Android 6.0.1, but the process is more or less the same across any version of the mobile OS you might have on your device.

So now that you know how to sign out of Google account on Android device, there is no need of going the hard way of factory resetting the device and start from a fresh.
