A lot of people use Yahoo Mail on their iPhones. Many people want to sign out of their Yahoo account because they don’t want to remain signed in for security reasons or because they want to avoid constant push notifications. But the problem is that it is so damn hard to log out of Yahoo mail in iPhone. The app is a textbook example of poor design. A normal user cannot find any sign out button on the app interface. Sign Out/Logout of Yahoo Mail in iPhone
On the top right corner of your screen you will see an option named “Your/My Account”. Tap on that icon and you will see your account name. Click on it and go to Manage Accounts option. Here, you will see the option to sign out.
If you are unable to find the sign out or log out option on Yahoo email app, go to Settings, head over to Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then turn off mail sync option. This should be the last resort.
There is another way to get rid of the Yahoo mail app and sign out of it.
Go to Settings and head over to “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” option to open your list of accounts.
Tap your Yahoo account. You will see account details. Tap on “Delete Account” button in the details screen. Confirm the selection and you will be signed out of the Yahoo app in iPhone.
