The new versions of iOS like iOS 8 and above have a new feature of suggested apps, in which the system automatically suggests you apps based on your activity and location. This can be a nuisance for people who love the have their lock screen clean. Suggested apps feature just adds up to the clutter of your iPhone and has no value at all. It just tracks your location and activity and suggest you apps in a tiny, fainted icon just on the opposite side of the camera icon in the iPhone lock screen.
If you are a user like me who wants a clean lock screen every time, the good news for you is that you can disable the suggested apps feature in your iPhone. Here’s how.
Stop App Suggestions on iPhone Lock Screen
Launch Settings in your iPhone or iPad.
Open “iTunes & App Store” and scroll down.
You will see a ‘Suggested Apps’ tab here, For ‘my apps’ and ‘app store’ toggle the bar OFF.
Exit the Settings app.
Whenever you want to turn on the suggested apps feature in your iPhone or iPad, you could always come at the same place and toggle the bars for my apps and app store ON. This feature is good for the people who love finding new apps. You could use this feature to discover apps for your grocery shopping, finding deals and something of tangible value. Anyways, turning off the suggested apps feature is pretty easy. Let us know in the comments if you have any query.
