How to use Chrome to automatically Generate Password for Online Accounts

password chrome

I will be the first one to admit it, I am no good at remembering my passwords, and I am sure you can say the same thing about yourself. But how can we? With all those accounts we open almost every day online. Good thing we got Chrome browser. Besides, it is recommended you create a strong password. That means a long text string with a combination of alpha-numerics, small caps, and big caps, and space. Good luck trying to remember that.

If you are using any of the recent version of the browser, then you will be glad to know that you no longer need to create or remember passwords. Google has taken the liberty of creating a browser that will first create the strong password for you, store it and sync it across all your device, and will automatically fill it for you when logging in.

Now, I know some of you might have your reservations – with good reasons – about Google’s policy of user’s privacy. But Google does provide a useful tool for managing your passwords online.

How to use Chrome built-in Password Generator

Launch the Chrome browser and visit whichever site you want to sign up. When you get to the signing up page, go to the field for filling your password. You should see the option ‘Suggest Strong Password,’ but if you don’t see this option, right-click and a jump list will pop up. Select ‘Generate password.’

At this point, you should see a preview of the password. To confirm it, simply click on ‘Use suggested password.’ You can then proceed to finish up on signing up on your account. The generated password will be automatically saved on Chrome, and available across Chrome browser to other devices when you have signed up with your Google account.

Should the website in question not accept Chrome generated password, Google requests you inform them of such matters at this link here.
