Design and Hardware
Huawei Mate 9 has an incredible hardware and body. The phone has rounded and sloppy edges with bezel-free sides. The size is gigantic 5.9 inch display, supporting 1080p LCD. 5.9 inches is the perfect size, and anything more than this is a strain to use. Thankfully, Huawei didn’t go for adding to size for no reason. Mate 9 has a fingerprint scanner on the back that comes nicely to the position where users can easily use it. Mate 9 does not contain the waterproof feature. The company says adding water proof feature in Mate 9 would have compromised the sleekness and beauty of its size.

Huawei Mate 9 processor is a powerful Octa-core Kirin 960. The company claims this is the faster processor built. Huawei says it plans to update and tweak its apps and software to support this insanely powerful processor. To top it all, Mate has a 4GB bombshell RAM based on Kirin 960 chipset.
AI-based Software and Apps
Huawei has come up with a brilliant idea to introduce Artificial Intelligence in its latest Android phone to make user experience smooth and easy. According to Huawei, these days, all the apps prompt users all the time, resulting in a slowdown of resources. In Mate 9, Huawei has introduced AI-based algorithm which will push less used apps down the pipe, and activate and make prominent only the most used apps by the user. That means, less and less resources will be given to the apps that aren’t touched by the user. Users will see their favorite apps on the front and at the center of their home screen. The system will automatically shift the unused apps on other pages, or corners of the screens.
Huawei has infused in Google-like material design in its Android 7.0 version in Mate 9, which nonetheless uses Huawei’s UI named “Emotion”. Buttons, colors and grid design are amazing.
Huawei’s New Battery Technology
Let’s talk about Huawei Mate 9 battery. The phone packs a massive 4,000 mAh, which is one of the biggest battery capacities available in the market. But that’s not all. The company has used a brand new disruptive technology to boost battery life. It’s called SuperCharge. This technology uses high current from a low voltage, thereby boosting the charging speed. So practically you can charge Huawei M9 to almost more than half within just 10 minutes. Whoa!
