Huawei P9 launches in Kenya; Specs & Features Performance Review

Huawei’s the latest flagship smartphone Huawei P9 is now available in Kenya and going for Ksh.54,999 ($545) across Safaricom shops and other outlets across Nairobi and soon to be available countrywide.

To quench your wanna-be-paparazzi needs, this is what Freddi Zhangxiaolong the Vice Country Director of Huawei Kenya has to say to you, “The Huawei P9 is the first smartphone with an intelligent camera and promises users a unique experience with features such as hybrid focusing system that allows you to capture those precious fleeting moments in your life.”

In other words, Huawei has partnered with internal brand and leading camera maker Leica Camera AG to make the P9’s dual-camera giving you a better refocus feature on the picture. According to Huawei the dual-camera lenses work in harmony to give you a composite 12MP picture in full color or black and white in very sharp contrast and deeper details than other conventional lenses.

Huawei is one of those Chinese companies making the world reevaluate their thoughts on ‘Made in China’, which has been synonym for a poor quality device. That might still be true, but Huawei is fervently fighting to fight off that notion, by producing top-notch devices that rival even the industry’s heavyweights like Apple and Samsung devices. You only need to take a look at the hardware and software tucked inside the Huawei P9 to agree with that.
