iPhone 2020 Release Date and Specs: Everything You Need to Know

People are anxiously waiting for the new iPhone 2020. The new iPhone is expected to be launched later in the year, but we have some solid reports that give some idea about the expected specs and features of the new iPhone 12.

iPhone 2020 Release Date and Specs Leaks

According to leaks by LetsGoDigital, iPhone 12 will have two cameras while iPhone 12 Pro will have three cameras, including a telephoto lens. Reports suggest that Apple iPhone 12 will have a  projector-based 3D mapping system. This would allow the new iPhone to scan environment up to about 15 feet. This feature would be very useful for different augmented reality applications.

Different rumors suggest that Apple will launch at least 3 models for the new iPhone of 2020. These will include iPhone 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. Some reports also claim that Apple is also planning to launch its budget smartphone iPhone SE in 2020.

Apple iPhone 12 release date is expected to be in September 2020. That’s when Apple reveals is new iPhones every year. However, the name of the new iPhone 2020 is not finalized or confirmed yet. We are calling it iPhone 12 for convenience as iPhone 2019 was called iPhone 11.

There would be different screen sizes and some key design changes for iPhone 12 and its models. Famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple will reduce the screen size of its 2020 version of iPhone 11 Pro. The phone is expected to have a screen size of 5.4 inches. According to a rendering processed by PhoneArena based on different rumors, iPhone 12 will not have rounded corners like those in the latest iPhones. Instead, Apple will roll out flat edges and sharper lines, similar to older versions like iPhone 4 and iPhone 5. However, Ming-Chi Kuo believes that iPhone 12 will have curved glass edges around the display just like iPhone 11.

Some rumors suggest that Apple iPhone 2020 will have A-series processors, which are also sometimes known as A14. According to a report, Apple’s supplier TSMC is on schedule to start the production A14 using a new 5 nanometer process in the second quarter. For context, A13 used a 7nm processor.
