Design, Build and Hardware of iPhone 6S
The design and build of iPhone 6S will be more or less the same as that of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. However, a few changes in thickness could be expected. Earlier this month, Wall Street Journal reported that Apple is planning to launch iPhone 6S will aluminum sheet which will add an extra thickness of 0.2mm in the iPhone 6S. According to a Taiwanese news source, Apple has decided to use the series 7000 alloy of magnesium and zinc in order to strengthen in aluminum body to avoid the embarrassing “Bendgate” perpetuities.
Force Touch Feature
Another great feature that is ostensibly coming to the iPhone 6S is “Force Touch”. According to the Wall Street Journal, sources in inside Apple have confirmed that the company is planning to launch Force Touch in iPhone 6S. Apple Watch has already this feature. Force Touch will allow you to open menu, perform different functions, actions by pressing a little harder on the screen. It is different from long press and taps. The device will have a pressure sensor which would detect the hard press and perform the related functions.
iPhone 6S Release Date
iPhone 6S release date is a matter having a lot of kerfuffle around it. Economic Daily, a news source, reported months ago that Apple will launch iPhone 6S in spring, which certainly didn’t happen. Recently, a less-known blog Micgadget reported that Apple will launch iPhone 6S in the first two weeks of September. This report is also backed by a Vodafone memo which says that iPhone 6S will go for pre-order on September 18 and by September 25 it will hit the stores for sales. But these reports are somewhat ruptured by a recent, purportedly authentic report by Wall Street Journal that Apple has told its manufacturers to make over 90 million iPhone 6S units, and these units will be ready to ship by the end of this year. That implies that iPhone 6S could be launched by next year.
iPhone 6S Camera
Apple is expected to give an improved camera in iPhone 6S. A Chinese news source “Sogi” claims that it has got a leaked Foxconn document which details the Apple iPhone 6S camera. iPhone 6S will have 12 Megalpixel rear end camera 4K video recording support and a new 240FPS slow motion recording mode. A 5-megapixel front-facing camera is also rumored for the iPhone 6S
iPhone 6S Processor and Memory
Apple iPhone 6S will have A9 processor, which will be 15 percent smaller than the latest 20nm processor. This means that Apple wants to slash the size in order to accommodate an increase battery timing. A Taiwanese news source also claims that iPhone 6S will have 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM, which doubles the devices’ bandwidth, but consumes less power.
