Yesterday, Opera Software released a new version of Opera Mini (a mobile browser) for iPhone users. The new Opera Mini is special in that it has a state-of-the-art News Feed whose content is rendered using an Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
The Opera Mini has a revamped UI that features a new News Feed on the start page. Opera says the new News Feed renders news four times faster than the typical one in the older version of the mobile browser.

The AI news engines leverage on real-time intelligence ranking, powered by deep learning and machine learning. They analyze the user’s interest and provide content based on those interests thus rendering content that the user is likely to be more interested and engaged in.
“The goal is to provide each user the ability to get their optimal content based on their interest, which is constantly evolving,” said Cuautemoc Weber, the Head of Global Accounts and Content at Opera Software.
Users also get the option of customizing the News Feed content with international news outlets by setting their location and categories to their liking. This feature is already available to iOS devices users in Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, South Africa, the USA, Indonesia, and India.
