Jack Ngare is the new Managing Director for Microsoft Africa Development Center in Kenya

In May 2019, Microsoft set up two Africa Development Center (ADC), one in Lagos Nigeria and the other in Nairobi Kenya. The company further announced that it will invest $100 million in the two centers over the course of the next five years. The ADC will be Microsoft eyes and ears for keeping tabs on its African customers.

In the Kenyan wing of the ADC, Jack Ngare has just been appointed the Managing the Director. A summary of Ngare professional career will include over 15 years’ worth of experience in the tech business.

He comes to the ADC from Finserve Africa, where he was serving Equity-affiliated company under the same name. Prior to Finserve, he worked with NIC Bank and Stanbic Bank. He also worked for the British Telecom, which saw him go on assignment across the UK, Japan, and Peru.

His experience spans across the telecommunication, financial services, and management industries. Ngare holds a Master’s Degree in Management from Harvard, a Master’s degree in Advanced Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Leicester.

The ADC engineers are said to be working with local stakeholders to improve Microsoft service delivery to customers across the continent. Engineers who are part of Microsoft’s global team of engineering.
