Jumia Kenya Opens New Hub in Nakuru
Online shopping has become an integral part of the Kenyan economy sparking a shift in consumer trends. JUMIA , Kenya’s leading online retailer that has been at the center stage of the shift has gone an extra mile by opening its newest office in Nakuru.
The hub located on the first floor of Uchumi Business Center will serve the larger Rift Valley region and represents a major milestone for the company. The move comes as a result of a growing customer base in the region and the continued prosperity of the JUMIA Mombasa hub four months after it opened in September last year.
Parinaz Firozi, MD, Jumia Kenya said, “We have been shipping products to our customers in Rift valley all the way from Nairobi but with an office and warehouse in Nakuru, we will be able to provide a seamless experience besides creating job opportunities for the area.
We are soon expanding to Eldoret and other towns in Kenya in our continued efforts to be physically close to our customers and to build strong relationships and opportunities.”
