Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has reduced the opening hours for some of its branches in Nairobi. A move geared towards cutting costs while pushing the bank’s customers towards the digital banking platform.

The bank, which boasts of 42 branches across Nairobi, said seven of these branches will start opening at 8:30am to 4pm on weekdays and 8:30am to 12pm on Saturday. The bank will remain closed on all Sundays and public holidays. The seven affected branches used to operate from 8:30am to 6pm on weekdays. The seven branches are as follows:

Gigiri

Kimathi

Lavington

Moi Avenue

Prestige Plaza

Village Market

Treasury Square

The review of our business hours in some of the branches is a move geared towards giving our customers greater freedom to interact with their accounts on unlimited hours as opposed to the traditional limited operating hours,” said Dennis Njau, the bank’s head of channels.

In the spirit of simplifying our customers’ world to enable their progress, the bank has rolled out intelligent ATMs that accept deposits and credit their accounts on a real-time basis.”
