Remember that MacBook rumor we ran two weeks ago? Well, it now emerges that there are leaked pictures of the said device and published online by CultOfMac. These said photos confirmed some of the things Ming-Chi Kuo from 9to5mac and KGI Securities was making rumors about.
Apparently the pictures were from an anonymous sender who claims to work at one of Apple’s manufacturing partners in China. According to the pictures, the rumored touchpad is indeed present and will replace the physical buttons. The laptop also has four USB Type-C ports and no any other type of connectors.
The touch keys are also programmable, meaning the user will determine the function of each key according to their own needs. There also appears to be some hinges and hooks, which could only mean one thing; the touch bar is detachable.
However, unlike Kuo’s rumors that with an all USB Type-C ports, the next MacBook Pro will be super slim, the leaked picture do not show that much difference with the current Mac Pro already out.
Nonetheless, the laptop will feature Touch ID support built in the MacBook Pro. Apple is expected to extend its currently mobile-based (iPhones) Touch ID hardware to the Pro laptop. Meaning users will no longer need to their iPhones to complete online transactions using their biometric (fingerprint) information for authentication and security.
The next MacBook Pro is believed will be launched in 13-inch ad 15-inc version. They are expected to be launched at Apple’s annual event sometime in October later this year. It is also said the iPhone 7 will also be launched that time. Rumors also say this iPhone 7 will feature two rear cameras and a 3mm audio jack. Other than that, it will more or less be similar to the iPhone 6S.
