LIVE Inspect – An Insurance Apps Comes First Place In 2014 MTN Business App Competition
This year’s MTN Business App of the Year awards first prize went to LIVE Inspect app. The event which took place in Johannesburg, to showcase and celebrate South African’s innovators and developers.
The first place winner LIVE Inspect is an app meant to hasten the process and improve on the accuracy for insurers to perform various inspections.
Kanagaratnam Lambotharan, MTN SA Chief Enterprise Business Office, said, “This year’s award showed that the mobile developer talent pool in South Africa is increasing every year and the country can compete with the best in the world.”
Lambotharan commented on the LIVE Inspect app, saying, “The App is designed to help insurance underwriter perform fast accurate vehicle inspections from the comfort of their smartphone. Details can be logged quickly in the straightforward interface and details like tax disc bar codes, drivers’ licences and photos of car damage can be captured using the phone’s camera.”
