Microsoft and Nintendo allay fears and confirms they’re showing up for the E3 2019 Conference

E3 2019

About the June 2019 E3 conference, an annual event that brings gaming enthusiasts under one roof (well, one location), we do know for sure that Sony will be a no-show and we also know why. Sony came out and confirmed it will not be coming to the E3 2019, but shortly after the company did, its competitors – Microsoft and Nintendo – also came out to confirm they will be attending.

The two studios not only confirmed their attendance but also said they are quite excited about attending the event.

We can’t wait to see you all at E3 2019” posted Xbox official account on its Facebook page.

Reggie Fils-Aimes, the Nintendo of America President, also said, “E3 is an outstanding opportunity for us to share new games and experiences with fans and business partners from across the globe. Every year, we discuss what will be the best way for us to take advantage of the next E3 show in order to bring smiles to people’s faces.”

Where was Nintendo for the past few years?

Unlike its rivals (Microsoft’s Xbox and Sony’s PlayStation), Nintendo presence has largely been absent at the past few E3 events. With Fils-Aime feeling, the need to address the speculation on whether or not they will be attending next year’s E3 event, only shows their approach to the event is not cast in stone.

Nintendo sometimes doesn’t hold a traditional press conference when releasing new products to the market. They simply hold a special live stream online. That is why we will not be surprised if in the next E3 conference, Nintendo decides to go for the online option rather than launch at a dedicated press conference event.
