MultiChoice to offer DStv subscribers FREE Udemy Courses

Africa’s leading direct satellite TV broadcaster, MultiChoice South Africa has announced several freemium goodies to DStv active subscribers. An announcement that comes against a backdrop of COVID-19 inspired orders like stay at home, work from home, school from home, and social distancing.

If you are a DStv subscriber, you can now get some learning for free on Udemy. That is after MultiChoice announced it will be sponsoring free access to 600 Udemy online courses to is active DStv subscribers. That sponsorship will be running through to July 31, 2020.

The courses will be available through the DStv app. Also, you might want to note, that the U.S.-based Udemy is financially backed by Naspers. The former parent company of MultiChoice.

Additionally, DStv premium subscribers will get a $5 voucher for all the other premium Udemy courses not included in the 600 courses mentioned above. That is about a 40% discount on the premium Udemy courses.

Other Freemium Goodies

The DStv goodies do not end at just trying to make you smart while at home. There some additional freemium channels coming your way to keep you entertained. Subscribers of the DStv Compact Plus and Compact package will now get free access to Showmax at R49 per month.

However, that offer will run through to June 30, but for subscribers on DStv Premium, Showmax will continue to be a free value-add post the mentioned date.

Those on the DStv Access package have not been left out either. They will get 21 additional channels currently available on the DStv Family bouquet. The offer will run through to June 14. The channels include Boomerang HD, WWE channel, NickTOONS, and Moja Love.

Free BoxOffice Movie for DStv PVR Premium

Subscribers using the PVR Premium will also be awarded one BoxOffice movie credit each week over the next month. The same offer is also available to all DStv Premium customers who are also using the PVR device and paying the monthly access fee.
