You need to Update all your Apple Devices (iPhones, iPads, Macs, etc) ASAP

Are you reading this from an Apple device? Just stop right there, and go update your device immediately

Apple has just released an update for the operating systems of all its devices; the iPhones, iPads, Apple computers, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. While there nothing new or out of the ordinary with Apple releasing an update for its OSs. This update in particular seem rather too important and users need to update their device as soon as possible.

That said, you don’t expect Apple to make a big announcement or create a lot of fuss about the update. As it will only serve to alert hackers who did not already know of the vulnerabilities being patched with the update.

However, as Wired points out, Apple’s update is meant to fix the ability of attackers to “execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges” that would grant them full control of your device.

The Apple update included:

All Apple Watch models

More recent generation of Apple TV

iPhone 5 and newer models

4th generation iPad and newer

6th generation iPad Touches and newer

Any Apple computer running the MacOS Sierra

The Safari web browser also has been updated

Windows users that have iCloud and iTunes installed in their systems also need to update the software. They also have the same security issue as the OS updates mentioned above.

Also included in the update, is a fix to address concerns Consumer Reports has with the new MacBook Pro that led to it not recommending it to consumers. According to Consumer Reports, the laptop had different battery lives between charges, sometimes lasting for only three houses and sometimes going for up to almost 20 hours. This inconsistency in battery hours per single charge would have thrown a tailspin into a user’s work schedule. Hopefully this update by Apple would have addressed that issue.
