Nelson Mandela Foundation Launches A Nelson Mandela Quotations App

It is almost two years now since South Africa lost its first President elected in a fully representative democratic election. President Nelson Mandela, who passed away December 5, 2013, at the age of 95 years after a prolonged respiratory infection.

Nelson Mandela will go down history as one of the most inspirational and sensation leader that lead an anti-apartheid revolution in South Africa. He is also a philanthropist and one politician many politicians around the world would to Planet Earth a favor if they could emulate.

Mandela will also be known for his witty and insightful punchlines, some of which are as listed below.

The foundation has developed an app that will deliver all the inspirational quotes by Nelson Mandela. The app comes in two versions, the free ‘lite’ version and a premium version that goes for $4.99. The featured quotes will be from the book Nelson Mandela by Himself: The Authorized Book of Quotations published back in 2011.

The Foundation’s spokesperson, Neeran Naidoo says the app will incorporate the over 3,000 quotes published in the book. Users using the premium version of the app will have access to the quotes database and be able to send out one quote per day to their contacts. The ‘lite’ version will only send out the quote of the day.

Naidoo was quoted saying, “The app ensures that Nelson Mandela’s words will be documented for generations to come. I hope that the quotes continue to serve as inspiration.”
