New PCs Sold On July 29th Will Not Come Preinstalled With Windows 10

If you are waiting to buy a new PC running the new Microsoft operating system Windows 10, you might be in for a rude shock. The Redmond Company has not yet availed its latest OS to device manufacturers. It is remaining a little over two weeks now before Microsoft releases the new OS come July 29th. The prevailing speculations currently, is that the Redmond Company is still putting some final patches.

Microsoft will likely release the OS to device makers sometime this week. The remaining time is said will not be enough for the manufacturers to run tests and install the Windows 10 in new PCs that can be shipped on July 29th. Therefore, you should not expect a new PC coming with preloaded Window 10 when Microsoft launches the new OS.

Yusuf Mehdi, vice president of Windows and device marketing was cited by Bloomberg saying: “You will see computers running with Windows 10 installed very soon after the 29th and then in the fall a whole new class of machines for the holidays.”

It seems Microsoft is executing the lessons learned from when they launched a half-baked Windows 8. That led to many users never getting around to using the OS or its later debugged OS (Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 update). For this reason, Microsoft seems less interested in getting Windows 10 to as many people as possible within the shortest period. It is rather more concerned about getting an entirely functional product to people starting with a small number of users as it works its way to more users.Windows 10 Will Not Come With New PCs On The Launch Day

Terry Myerson, the executive vice president of Microsoft operating system in a blog post published July 2nd, wrote, “Each day of the rollout, we will listen, learn and update the experience for all Windows 10 users. If you reserved your copy of Windows 10, we will notify you once our compatibility work confirms you will have a great experience, and Windows 10 has been downloaded on your system.”

However, there is one PC vendor that has assured users it will be able to ship out Windows 10 as early as July 30th. Dell has been accepting Windows 10 PCs preorders from its customers and has promised to embark on shipping the machines as soon as July 29th so users can have them by July 30th.
