Your New S5 could soon be Old News; Rumor has it Samsung Galaxy S6 Launching Next Month

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has just made it to its 8-month anniversary and already the Korean giant manufacturer is rumored to be gearing up to release its successor, the Samsung Galaxy S6 come January 2015.

These rumored first surfaced from a South Korean online publication Chosun Biz, and they believe Samsung Galaxy S6 release could coincide with 2015’s Consumer Electronics Show slated for January 6th to 9th. Speculations indicate that Samsung could be gearing up to releasing the normal Galaxy Model alongside a curved screen “Edge” model. Samsung’s Galaxy Note Edge phablet came with an extended touchscreen that wraps down on one side of the phone.

If these rumors turn out to be true, it would be an unconventional move for Samsung given according to the company’s tradition going back to the last 4-years it has been releasing its flagship products after every 11 to 12 months. This would mean we should be expecting any new flagship device from Samsung to be released between April to May 2015.

However, according to Chosun Biz, the Galaxy S5 smartphone registered very poor sales, and this may just be enough reason for Samsung to revamp its revenue by releasing yet another flagship device even sooner.

Despite the Galaxy S5 smartphone sales not matching Samsung’s expectations, it still remains the second-best selling smartphone globally. If Samsung does indeed release the Galaxy S6 in a few weeks’ time there are going to be many Samsung loyal customers walking around with “last year’s phone”. Too bad because like me, am sure you know a couple of people who just recently acquired the Galaxy S5, and in a few weeks’ time, they will not be the newest slickest kid on the block.
