Next Windows 10 major update Windows 10 Redstone 2 to roll out March 2017

Trusting you now have upgraded to not just Windows 10, but to its latest major update, the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. The Anniversary Update rolled out on August 3rd, exactly one year and five days after the initial roll-out of Windows 10 on July 29, 2015.

As Windows watchers, we’re now looking forward to the next variant of Windows 10 to be released. Two, three, four rumors later, we believed the next Windows Update will be Windows 10 Spring 2017. Like the name suggest, it will be released in Spring next year, but these were just rumors and speculations.

However, we could perhaps confirm the date and the name of the next Windows 10 update to be Windows 10 Redstone 2. Additionally, the Redstone 2 update roll out will be on the early side of Spring next year.

That is according to leaked documents by Microsoft officials that were unearthed by ‘The Walking Cat and Tero Alhonen on social media.

According to the above-supposed leak, Windows 10 Redstone 2 should be out sometime in March 2017. This view seemed to be shared across the Windows watcher eagerly waiting to have a go with the next one to come.

However, as far as the features to expect on the Redstone 2 is concerned, there is petite to write home about. Nothing much has been made public, other than the name and expected release date. Nonetheless, we expect more information to reach our desk by October 26 when Microsoft will be holding yet another Hardware event in New York.

So far, the only worthwhile rumor is that Microsoft will bake the Windows Holographic shell into the Windows 10 Redstone 2. Other than that, we will all have to wait until the day comes.
