The senior citizens are often the forgotten lot. You often hear of rights groups fighting for the cause for children, and women. However, it is very seldom you hear of a rights group fighting to better the state of the senior citizens. More so in the tech industry, where the agenda is people empowerment with skills and knowledge in technology.

Well, Nigeria’s Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) has launched a digital training program for the seniors (aged 55 and above). The digital program dubbed DIGnified, will run for four weeks and provide senior citizens the much skills Gen Xes seem to be all crazed about. The participants will no doubt have the necessary skills and knowledge that defined the current digital age.

The DIGnified program has a series of courses, ranging from the very basics to the advanced levels. CcHub says the program will be immersive with a hands-on curriculum. The learner can enroll for a series of courses per each quarter. The seniors will learn to become savvy with today’s technology and possibly be at the same speed with Generation X.

The DIGnified program will have three sessions per week, running for four consecutive weeks. The program will be available in both Lagos and Abuja. If you are a senior (55-years-old and older) and would like to take this program, you can do so by registering here.

For the first edition of DIGnified, ten seniors will be fully sponsored to undertake the program.
