Buni TV a production by Buni Media has been airing online and on YouTube for some time now becoming quite popular in Kenya. They’ve produced a very popular and hilarious Kenyan satire show called THE XYZ SHOW. That has been captivating and enlightened the Kenyan viewers on matters touching on politics, economy and religion among others.

“OGAS AT THE TOP”: A Hilarious Puppet Satire Show Demystifying BigManism-Leadership in NigeriaLast month, Buni Media launched a similar show in Nigeria dubbed OGAS AT THE TOP and has already hit more than 160,000 views and is fast becoming the most popular show online and on TV in Nigeria. The show’s most watched clip featured Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan and the First Lady Patience Jonathan in what would appear to be a rendition of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s “Drunk in Love”, but titled “Drunk in Power”. This particular clip has already gotten over 30,000 hits in just one week and has gone viral over the social media and various African high profiled blog sites.

Written by Numero Unoma, Niyi Ademoye and Tolu Ogunlesi, OGAS AT THE TOP has a satirical, hilarious yet unflinching look at the political elites in Nigeria and the influential personalities in the naija society. Tolu Ogunlesi says, “Nigerians love to laugh. Nigerians needs to demystify leadership and the whole concept of BigManism… It’s great and exciting to be part of a team combining the love and the need. Maybe somehow, just maybe, it will make our country a little less dysfunctional”.
