Online marketplace Jumia Donates Ksh. 1 Million worth of Clothing To Orphanage

Kenya’s leading online marketplace Jumia has donated clothing worth Ksh. 1 million to a local orphanage popularly known as the St. Barnados Children’s Home.

Parianaz Firozi, the MD at Jumia Kenya said the donation will go a long way towards providing proper clothing to the over 1,500 children and young adults that call St. Barnados home.

“We are proud to support the good work being done by the Kenya Children Home in helping thousands of children and young adults have the opportunity to become their best self and live their true purpose in life.  We hope these contributions will make a difference in their lives.”

Receiving the donation on behalf of the home, Martha Muiruri, lead resource mobiliser at the home thanked Jumia for their donation and called on other corporates and individuals to contribute to the goodwill of the less privileged.

“We rely on well-wishers to run the home and are appealing to corporates and individuals out there, friends of Barnados to contribute whatever they can, someone out here needs it.”
