Pokémon Quest for Android and iOS: Addictive Game with Loads of Features

Pokémon Quest, the blocky, free-to-play Pokémon adventure is now available on mobile devices for Android and iOS users. It is released from developer Game Freak. The game takes place at Tumblecube Island where everything is shaped like a cube. It features cube shaped Pokémon called Pokexel.

The action RPG, Pokémon Quest, has players who fight with rowdy Pokémon, explore new places, search for treasures and discover new cooking recipes to attract new Pokémon to join their club. For example, making yellow curry with lots of yellow colors would appeal to the yellow Pokémon. Other exciting features of the game include personalizing your base camp, using Power Stones to customize your Pokémon friends or taking care of many different Pokémon. Pokémon Quest allows in-app purchases for Power Stones. The Power Stones give a unique stat as you modify your Pokémon using them.

The first thing you should keep in mind about Pokémon Quest is that it’s a mobile game that follows the design conventions of mobile games. It is not like a console game. The wild Pokémon fighting expeditions in the island and the resource gathering depends on your drone’s battery. Initially, its charge is good enough to cover five trips. Its one trip’s recharge takes 30 real-world minutes.  Also, when you cook a dish to draw new Pokémon friends, it takes few missions before the food is ready.

In Pokémon Quest, Pokémon moves on its own exploring automatically charging enemies. The player has to control its club’s Pokémon and make the moves accordingly. Moreover, you can modify your base camp too with decorations which in return give in-game benefits. The game has very exceptional art style with blocky characters. Its simple touch-screen controls make it a game that Pokémon fans of all ages can relish playing.

The first step in the game is to select your Pokémon (you can select from five: Pikachu, Eevee, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander) partner based on the characteristics that are essential for you. The player starts off exploring the island with one Pokémon but as they progress, the team builds up. After choosing the desired Pokémon, the next step is to get on board on missions to search the island and look for hidden treasures. You set up your base camp on Tumblecube Island and attract voxel Pokémon. The players can personalize their Pokémon and form a strong tie with their Pokémon friends while fighting their way through the escapade. There are 150 Pokémon to find in the game.

Pokémon Quest is divided into two parts: managing your club at base camp and going on missions. At the base camp, you will equip, manage and train your Pokémon club. You will also appeal new Pokémon by cooking food for them from the ingredients you found during your expeditions. On the other hand, the missions take your club out into the wilds of the island where you fight wild Pokémon to collect treasures and recipes.

You can now download it for free from App Store and Google Play Store.
