Galaxy S7 Edge Black Pearl

Looks like the South Korean electronics maker said, if Jet Black is to Apple’s iPhone 7, the Black Pearl will be to the Galaxy S7 Edge. Now the two flagship smartphones from the two archrivals can go at it teeth to teeth, claws to claws.

Note Samsung insists it is Galaxy S7 Edge Black Pearl, emphasis on the ‘black pearl’, and not to be confused with the ‘jet black’ on iPhone 7 variant. The Galaxy S7 Edge phone will be available in selected markets from December 9th and in 128GB variant.

News about Samsung releasing the Galaxy S7 Edge in new hue first surfaced as rumors in November. Giving the date of the release, as just in time for Christmas.

The new hue indeed radiates quality and luxury. Its design is meant to be striking and with a modern appeal. The sleek Black Pearl finish covers the whole phone, including edges, adding a deep depth of classy black. Giving it a stylish all-black look, Samsung says the Galaxy S7 Edge will also come in Black Onyx, White Pearl, Silver Titanium, and Gold Platinum.

In a statement, Samsung said in part, “The new Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge follows the Blue Coral and Pink Gold editions released earlier this year. While those were largely inspired by calming, natural hues, Black Pearl was designed to be modern and striking.”

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus rumors

There are also rumors doing round of the Galaxy S8. The next flagship phone will have a major design overhaul compared to its predecessors. It is said Samsung will drop the headphone jack and home button to give the phone an edge-to-edge screen.

Sammobile reports it has received an exclusive confirmation that Samsung will kill the standard 3.5mm headphone jack in the successor flagship phones, the Galaxy S8. The new devices will be called Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.

There no doubt Samsung is hoping the S8 model will win back all the admiration, respect, and loyalty it commanded in the market. Before the Galaxy Note 7 fiascos.
