Launch settings in your iPhone.
Choose a new wallpaper which is still instead of dynamic. This would save battery life in iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
Turn Off Background Refresh Feature
Background refresh feature in iPhone 6s and 6s plus keep refreshing app, thereby decreasing the battery life. Here’s how to disable it.
Go to settings in your iPhone, then go to General Background App Refresh and disable the Background App Refresh by toggling it to OFF.
Disable Location Services
Location based services which use GPS are battery hogs and chew your battery in the background. For example, if you are addicted to Google Maps, or use Find My iPhone, Foursquare, etc., chances are that you are leaving GPS location tracking on your iPhone 6S or 6S Plus to on. Go to Settings in iPhone then head over to Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then move to Fetch New Data and from here disable the push option and select the manual option instead.

Disable Background Downloads without Permission
iPhone 6S and 6S Plus keeps downloading updates, apps and stuff in the background without your permission. While this is a good feature, it could result in a catastrophe if your phone is running out of battery. That’s why you should turn off automatic downloading.
Go to Settings app in iPhone->App and iTunes Stores and you will see a section named “Automatic Downloads”. Toggle all the options to OFF.
