Seven reasons to get an Asus Vivobook

Laptops are the perfect size. They are small enough to travel with you, yet powerful enough to perform to your expectations. Whether you’re at home, on the road, or in a college classroom, notebooks are the most fantastic tool for serious study or play. While standalone tablets and smartphones are constantly popular, most people understand that laptops are preferable for everything from typing a research paper to processing videos to gaming. But, of course, there’s a lot more to think about than the operating system. Is it equipped with the screen you desire? Are your peripherals supported by ports? Is it capable of playing 1080p games? What exclusive games or features will you be able to enjoy? These are the things you should think about before making the investment.

Why choose an Asus Vivobook?

The Asus VivoBook is, in a nutshell, one of the greatest laptops we’ve examined in recent months. Except for intense gaming, this is a compelling laptop that is equally as amazing as the 16-inch MacBook Pro while being smaller, lighter, and significantly less expensive. If you want a powerful laptop without spending a lot of money, this is one of the few options available. You’ll also receive a bright screen, an ErgoLift hinge for a more comfortable typing position, and the famed ASUS ScreenPad to boost your productivity. As a result, you’re getting a laptop with many features for a lot less money than its competitors are asking. Let’s break down the specifics so you can see for yourself why many people are choosing to purchase an Asus Vivobook.

  1. Screen – The Asus VivoBooks 15.6-inch, 1920 x 1080 resolution display is both pleasing to the eye and pleasing to work with: the bezels around the edges are pleasantly thin, and the display itself is bright, colorful, and sharp. Although the 16:9 aspect ratio isn’t our favorite (we prefer the 16:10), it is ideal for widescreen movies and television programming.
  2. Keyboard & Navigation – With a large keyboard that feels well cushioned and looks well illuminated – the distinct color around the Enter key is a pleasant touch – and a trackpad that is equally quick and accurate, the laptop makes good use of its quality materials. A fingerprint sensor is embedded into the trackpad, making logging into Windows 10 a breeze. The all-metal chassis looks the part and has the appearance of lasting a long time.
  3. Ports – One of the benefits of a notebook this size over a 13-inch laptop is that you get more ports: the Asus VivoBook has an HDMI port, a Thunderbolt 4 USB-C connector, a USB 3.2 USB-A port, and two USB 2.0 USB-A ports, as well as a headphone jack and a microSD card reader. There are plenty of color possibilities to choose from: Indie Black, Gaia Green, Resolute Red, and Dreamy White, to name a few.
  4. Lightweight – Despite the large 15.6-inch display, the laptop is only 16.1 mm (0.63 inches) thick and weighs 1.8 kg (3.97 lbs). You’ll need a little extra room in your bag to fit it in, but it won’t weigh you down. We like what Asus has done here in terms of design and style, from the materials used to the colorful lids to the backlighting on the keyboards, and it sticks out in a crowded market.
  5. Sound – Load up a little widescreen movie, and you realize that not only does it look excellent, but it sounds fantastic too — the laptop comes with a Harman Kardon-certified stereo sound system that will even attempt surround sound for you. Unfortunately, it’s not quite up there with a home entertainment system, and the bass is lacking a tiny bit. Still, audio remains crisp and clear at a reasonably high volume, with individual elements of music songs simple to detect. It’s yet another advantage of the laptop.
  6. Battery Life – The Asus VivoBook also performs admirably in terms of battery life, even though it isn’t breaking any records. We got 7-8 hours of use out of a charger, which is good for a laptop this size, though we weren’t doing anything particularly taxing. In addition, the laptop declined from 100% to 75% in our routine two-hour video streaming test – maximum brightness, low volume – implying an overall battery life of roughly 8 hours.
  7. Price – We haven’t discussed the Asus VivoBook’s price yet, making it much more enticing. The laptop is currently available in the UK for a reasonably affordable mid-range pricing of roughly £700. Sure, you can get Windows laptops for a lot less money, but the Asus VivoBook gives you bang for your buck.

Verdict

If you’re looking for a Windows laptop, chances are you’ll be looking at anything from Asus. The Taiwanese firm is one of the most well-known companies globally, accounting for almost 5.5 percent of all PC sales in 2019. However, while the company’s Zenbook line pushes the limits of what is possible in this size factor, the VivoBook prioritizes everyday use to keep costs down.
