So far, Kenyans can access Netflix at about Sh. 1,100 ($11), Showmax at Sh. 600 ($6), and Amazon Prime at about Sh. 500 ($5). iflix gives you VoD movies and TV shows at an affordable subscription price of Sh. 260 ($2.6) per month.

We are incredibly excited to bring iflix’s world class service to Kenya. With the largest selection of the best TV shows and movies from all over the world, iflix is primed to revolutionize the way we as Kenyans consume entertainment,” said iflix Kenya Country Manager, Paul Coogan.

Kenyan viewers who subscribe to the iflix package will have unlimited access to a library of thousands of first-run exclusive shows, blockbuster movies, award-winning TV series, regional and local content, and children program among others.

Users can access iflix on up to a maximum of 5 devices simultaneously; it could be smart TVs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and desktop computers. Users can also download movies for later offline viewing using the iflix incorporation of binge-watch offline technology. You can also share your subscription with family and friend, and watch the videos on two different devices at the same time.

iflix has a reputation of establishing market leadership in the emerging markets it has so far launched its VoD services. Some describe it as the pace-setter VOD as it delivers world-class streaming entertainment services with a lot of focus on local customer experiences.

Over the last one year, iflix has been on an impressive expansion growth across Africa, Middle East, and Asia. In countries where iflix is present, the VOD service has partnered with leading telecommunications operators to launch an internet bundle dedicated to video streaming at subsidized rates and sometimes it is sponsored by the telecom firms.
