Methods to Solve Wi-Fi Problems with Android Lollipop

Reconnect to Wi-Fi

If your Wi-Fi network connects, but drops out after some time, then you need to force it to reconnect to Wi-Fi. There could be various ways of resetting your Wi-Fi connection. The simplest of them is to toggle your Wi-Fi switch off and then turn it on again. You just need to pull down the screen and bring the Wi-Fi switch instantly. Recycle your Wi-Fi connection from here.

Change Your Wireless Channel

It is possible that your Nexus 5 device doesn’t support some wireless channels. As a result, it doesn’t connect to the network. Ask your ISP to change your wireless channel so as to try connecting to the network using any band.

Downgrade to Android KitKat

If your experience is too bad with Android Lollipop, you need to downgrade your operating system to Android KitKat. Before going back to the older version of Android, you must back up all your data and settings. Choose the KitKat version compatible with your device from the Google’s Factory images page.

Once you have downgraded your device to Android KitKat, you need to ignore the available updates until you are sure that the Wi-Fi problems have been fixed properly.

These were some suggestions to mitigate the Wi-Fi issues on your Android Lollipop device. Google will certainly release the official fix for catering this bug very soon. However, you still have to search for alternate methods in the meantime if the aforementioned methods fail.
