To add more item in the already attractive basket of choice for consumers with regards to flagship smartphones. Sony has released its latest flagship smartphone, the Sony Xperia Z4. Now consumers can ponder a lot more over whether to get the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge and the HTC One M9 or wait for the Xperia Z4.

Sony Launches Flagship Smartphone Sony Xperia Z4

The Xperia Z4 was announced today in Japan, and so far there is no official mentioning of the product launch in the international markets. The Xperia Z4 in many ways resembles its predecessor the Sony Xperia Z3. It has the same screen size, 5.1 inch display, 6.9mm thick and a Snapdragon 810 processor clocking at 2GHz. The processor is an eight-core and 64-bit processor. A 3GB RAM backs the processor, and it comes with the Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. It also has a 20.7MP rear camera and a wide-angle lens front camera.

Sony has made a name for itself in the water- and dust-resistant devices and their flagship smartphone yet is no exception. Something that Samsung got wrong in their flagship Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

There have been rumors that Sony is thinking of exiting the smartphone business. But if the latest restructuring of the organization is anything to go by, these rumors will remain to be nothing more than just rumors.

The Xperia Z3 has attracted a lot of great consumer reviews and ratings, but it failed to sell to the company’s expectations. Which raises the question of how does the company intends to improve on sales if the Z4 has copied the Z3 in a lot of areas?

If you are an Xperia fan, expect the Xperia Z4 international launch to come up soon, now that the company has already launched it in Japan.
