South Africa’s Internet of Things (IoT) innovator IoT.nxt and Dell, the multinational technology, and computing hardware giant have inked a partnership deal that will see the two companies rapidly digitize business operations and deploy IoT solutions.

IoT.nxt has a unique stack of technology that rapidly bridges the gap between all protocols in the industrial ecosystem and creates a single integration or translation point.

IoT.nxt’s patented Raptor gateway enables organization seamlessly retrofit all currently existing legacy system without having to rip off and replace things. The partnership between the two companies has seen Raptor being integrated into Dell Gateway technology. A move both companies believe will facilitate rapid digital transformation.

We call it ‘IoT in a box,’ and it provides an off-the-shelf solution suitable for any company in any industry,” said Nico Steyn, the CEO of IoT.nxt.

With this solution companies can quickly see a return on investment and achieve digital scalability. It will allow them to fast forward unlocking efficiencies and drive earnings.

This Raptor in a box solution gives companies the ability to scale quickly as the Dell Raptor is already configured to be rolled out, yet comes with the support of Dell’s global network which offers warranties and superior services.”

This deal with Dell is IoT.nxt’s latest partnership deal after securing a $7.7 million funding. The partnership will combine Raptor with the superior and robust Dell engineering for an advance IoT offering.

On its part, IoT.nxt expects the partnership with Dell will improve trust on its brand and rapidly increase the adoption of its services by companies.

Ben Vernooij, the IoT, and Embedded Computing Solutions lead at Dell MEC say the partnership will help their customers rapidly deploy IoT solutions via the Dell Raptor.

Customers can now speed up their IoT projects and make sense of the volumes of data produced at the edge,” said Vernooji.
