Startups in East Africa invited to apply for iHub 2nd Edition of Traction Camp Accelerator Program

The second edition of the Traction Camp Accelerator program is currently receiving applications.

The Traction Camp Accelerator is a program by iHub and backed by the World Bank, seeking to support growth-oriented startups. The program is geared towards scaling up the startup’s businesses using tailor-made acceleration tools designed to take the given businesses through a rapid-cycle of competitive curriculum and matching them with the right mentors and sources of capital.

Startups from across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Burundi are eligible to participate in this program. Startups wishing to participate in Traction Camp Accelerator program can apply for consideration at www.tractioncamp.ihub.co.ke.

Advantages accruing to the participating startups

The cohort of startups that will be selected to take part in this second edition of the program stand to benefit from mentorship opportunities from seasoned business experts. They will also get access to a network of potential business partners and investors.

The startup also stand to take home expert skills in analyzing financial mechanisms, entrepreneurial skills, business acumen, and access to business communities’ network.

Eligibility criteria for startups is listed here. Qualified startups from the above mentioned countries are encouraged to apply before the November 1st 2017, which is the date set for the first cut-off to give the organizing committee ample time to vet the applicants. The final deadline will be January 15th 2018.
