The Student Dream to Host First Blhackathon on Feb. 27: Hacking the Black History Month

In commemoration of the Black History Month, Student Dream will be hosting the first ever Black History Month hackathon, dubbed Blhackathon. Inventors from all backgrounds and skill sets are invited to participate and celebrate the history of black innovation while making history.

The occasion will present an excellent opportunity for those looking to learn about startups, problem-solving, learning how to code, collaborate with inventors and innovators from around NYC, work at tech companies. There will also be great free food and a chance to win great prizes.

The Student Dream to Host First Blhackathon on Feb. 27: Hacking the Black History Month

The event will be challenging creative, innovators and history makers to spend 24 hours creating the MVP of a For-Profit company that aims at solving challenges faced by the black communities in the following areas:

-Education

-Family

-Social Justice

-Health

-Wealth, Employment and Financial Literacy

-And any other areas or your choice.

The event will kick off on February 27th at 7pm until February 28 at 9pm. The venue will be at the TEEM Coworking, 1463 5th Avenue (@118th Street). Don’t miss out on your chance to be part of making history as you commemorate the Black History Month.
