Image backup is a great option in Widows 10 and 8 to backup all the data. System image backup takes the backup of your computer bit by bit. That means all your photos, settings, documents, drives and data is backed up by the system. Here is how to take a complete system data backup in Windows 10 and Windows 8. The illustrated steps are performed on Windows 10 but you can apply them in Windows 8 accordingly.

Right click on the start button from the bottom left corner of your screen and hit the control panel.

Now go to the “File History” option.

In the bottom left size, you will see an option called “System Image Backup”.

Now you will need an external hard drive or USB drive having enough space to get the backup of your entire system. The data backup image will be saved in that USB drive or external hard drive. Make sure to use a reliable drive.

The system will launch a backup wizard, which will show you some options about saving the backup. You can select saving the backup in the hard drive, DVD or networking share points. But I would suggest saving all the backup in the hard drive. It is a good solution with local reliability, as saving data across the network or outdated means would dwindle the data integrity.

Now click on “Next”.
