TEA Invest (TEA Group Ltd) Facilitates A 50 Women Entrepreneural March To Cape Verde To Invest In Agribusinesses

Women Powering Financial Technology in Africa

The TEA invest initiative in partnership with  Município de Santa Cruz, Cape Verde and Município de São Miguel, Cape Verde, Mojere, Ivory, Alizé  La Vie Media connects African women entrepreneurs and African decent diaspora-owned businesses into Emerging and African markets.

Under the umbrella of TEA Group Ltd, TEA Invest is dedicated and focused on supporting the connection between investment projects and African women entrepreneurs in developing markets in Africa and beyond.

TEA invest will help provide technical assistance to improve the investment readiness of 50 African Women through the 4-day event in Cape Verde.

Connecting African decent, diaspora women entrepreneurs with investment projects in Cape Verde and wider African community to address and contribute to four important Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (SDG 1: No poverty, SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 8: Decent work and Economic Growth and SDG 17: Partnership for the goals) by:

Educating African women entrepreneurs in business practices and requirements for participation in trade; 2. Driving competitiveness of African Women Business Enterprises;

Bridging the gap in access to financial services for African women entrepreneurs and reducing gender inequality; 4. Connecting African women-owned businesses with investment projects as Angel investors; 5. Investing in African women’s economic empowerment and promoting an inclusive economic growth; 6. Unlocking a largely untapped trillion dollar market with potentially attractive risk and return profile.

This strategic initiative will reveal additional insights and highlight key trends in future initiatives. This pilot launch will encompass a much larger set of Women angel entrepreneurs, answering questions like:

Is there a minimum number of angel investors in around to ensure a successful exit?

What are the average revenues of a company to attract VC investment and/or corporate acquisition?

What do different startup CEO demographics mean for investment and company/investor success in African countries?
