New Devices and Features unveiled yesterday at Microsoft Event

Yesterday’s Microsoft event was perhaps the best the tech giant has held in recent times. The company debut some top tier devices that are bound to shake up the market; and put a dent into the consumer’s wallet. Below are ten things Microsoft unveiled yesterday, that as a consumer you should be aware of:

Windows 10 Creators Update

Windows 10 is getting a major update for free sometime in early 2017. The update knows as Windows 10 Creators Update will enable virtually anyone to create, share, and experience 3D and mixed reality.

It will also connect users to the people they care about the most and allow just about every gamer becomes a gaming broadcaster. Microsoft Edge will become the first browsers to bring 3D to the web.

3D for Everyone

Windows 10 has a new app, the Paint 3D that will make virtually anyone a 3D artist on the new 3D art studio. The 3D art studio will be backed up by an online community dubbed, where 3D content creators and network with others like them from all over the world.

3D creators will be able to share their creations broadly with the vast community making up the Remix 3D community. Microsoft Office support for 3D Models and Inking features

With the Windows 10 Creators Update set to roll out early next year. It will come with new MS Office apps for 3D modeling and new inking features.

Take the MS PowerPoint, for instance; users will be able to add 3D models to their presentation thereby bringing them to life. Where you get to rotate models in three dimensions and give them some transitions for that cinematic 3D animation effects.

Surface Studio

As predicted yesterday, Microsoft debut an All-In-One (AIO) desktop PC and it is an overkill. The iMac could have just found a worthy competition. Microsoft unveiled the Surface Studio, which turns your working desk into a creative studio, by giving you a powerful digital canvas.

The way it is built for use, the Surface Studio feels like a more natural way to work, and you are bound to get immersed in your creative work; perhaps come up with your best creations yet. It comes in a 4.5K Ultra HD display, and Microsoft says, Surface Studio will give you up to 63% more pixels than the state-of-the-art 4K TV. The Surface Dial

A new peripheral device for the creative users; it works with Windows 10 on any Surface devices giving you a faster and more intuitive way to scroll up and down, zoom in and out and navigate.

The 2nd gen Surface Book

Microsoft yesterday unveiled the second generation of the Surface Book. It is being touted as the most powerful laptop in its class. It is running on the 6th generation Intel Core i7 chip and has twice the GPU as the first Surface Book.

Even more impressive to the mobile user, the Surface Book is said to take you up to 16 working hours on a single full battery charge. It is also ready for pre-order with price starting at $2,399 here.

Virtual Reality to everyone, everywhere

Microsoft says Windows 10 Creators Update will come with the most powerful, yet affordable way for everyone to experience virtual reality. The company has partnered with HP, ASUS, Dell, Lenovo, and Acer to ship the first VR headsets in the market that are capable of mixed reality via the Creators Update ecosystem.

The VR headsets have built-in sensors that will give users the inside-out, six-degree freedom. They will also be straight forward to setup even for the non-technical users. It will provide you with mixed reality, and therefore, you will be able to move around your home as you experience the virtual world; without having markers around.

Keep in touch with People that matter the most, faster and consistently

Windows 10 Creators Update will put the people you care about the most at the center of your experience via a new Windows MyPeople app. This app will enable you pin your favorite contacts to the taskbar and by a simple drag and drop action; you can share with them documents, pictures, and videos.
