If you have been salivating after the TESLA smartphones and live in Kenya. You will be glad to know that you don’t have to go through the complicated and tedious online purchase process to get the smartphone shipped from the USA to Kenya.
In fact, you can just walk into a Safaricom Shop near you and walk out with the smartphone. TESLA has been available in the Kenyan market for a while now, selling through online stores like Jumia and a few physical stores.
Kenya’s leading mobile telecommunication service provider Safaricom has also moved in to stock the phones on both its physical shops and online store Masoko. That means you can visit Masoko.com.
The phone is available in two variants; the TESLA 6.3 and TESLA 3.3 Lite. The former comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera and a 2400 mAh battery. The latter comes with 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and a 2200 mAh battery.
The TESLA 6.3 goes Ksh. 13,999 while the TESLA 3.3 Lite goes for Ksh. 7,499. Safaricom gives you free 100 MB mobile data with each purchase. However, they both come with Android 7 Nougat; quite old-fashioned given Android 8 is already popular in the market. Though TESLA could push out the update, but I won’t hold my breath given both models are not exactly flagship devices.
